Beta today is 5, so barely pregnant at all. I guess it's better it was over fast than that it dragged on, although of course it hurts like hell. TDFKADC had a helpful conversation with me about it, and was gently encouraging, although I'm not in any fit state to make decisions about it today.
Beta today is 71. Repeat beta on Monday, but really almost no chance that this will turn out ok. Ever feel that life is just kicking you really really hard, all the time with no let up?
Just got the call from TDFKADC. Beta level is 70. Which is considerably lower than last time, but then we all know what happened to that. I had quite a bit of bleeding last night, which led me to believe it was all over - to the extent that H went out to buy the ice-cream - so I'm very very cautious right now. We'll have a repeat on Friday, then if it's all ok, a scan on 27 December. No chickens being counted here. But it's a good start.
Thanks for checking in on me. You'll be glad to know that as of 1310 this afternoon, I have three embryos on board - two good looking four cells and one dodgy two cell. The two good ones are from IVF#3, and the one dodgy one from IVF#2. The plan had been to use the three we had from IVF#2, since we got pregnant on that cycle, but one of them croaked on thawing, and the third one wasn't good enough to thaw, in the embryologist's opinion.
The drama has mostly dissipated - I wrote a letter to the doctor formerly known as Dr Condescending (TDFKADC) which she responded to with a lovely, kind email, so I feel a bit less terrified that they will fire us at any moment. For now, though, I just want this cycle to work, these embryos to decide to stick around - for the long term this time.
