1036 am GMT 3520 grammes (I think approx 7lb12oz) Seems very long (too long for newborn sleepsuit) but they don't measure length here Does not look much like Pob did although same colouring Long fingers and lovely nails Lots of dark hair although v high forehead Does not like being moved. When he is settled he'd like to stay there, wherever it is, thank you very much. Currently crashed out and not interested in feeding, having done about 2 hours on the boob once we were in recovery. He is gorgeous.

WONDERFUL! Congratulations, Thalia! And welcome to the world, Junior! What terrific news ... you made my night! :)
Catching up on earlier post ... just to say that re circumcision, we finally did not do our boys since my husband was deadset against it, and here in California, about 50% of parents are NOT having it done now. So I figured our boys would not feel like the odd man out in gym class or anything like that. :) However, just want to set one thing straight, from my reading on this subject a couple of years ago ... yes, it's true that adults can have the procedure done. But it is apparently an *extremely* painful procedure as an adult and men end up missing several days of work, etc. (Check with your own doc regarding veracity but this is what I read.) So really, you are stuck with making the decision now(sorreeeeee!). Re the pain in a newborn, which is certainly a legitimate concern ... is it possible to use some sort of topical anesthetic, like a lidocaine gel or something?
In any case, I am so happy for you and H and Pob. Yay!
